This. If you have to shove your relationship down the internet’s throat or feel the need to stage your love like a show; I don’t think you’re really as happy as you think. I’m happy enough to spend the time with the person I love, not setting up a web cam to feel the need to share them with the world. I don’t care what the internet thinks. I care what they think.
you know what? I agree with both of you guys. I think that you shouldn’t have to show the whole world the relationship that you have with your significant other.
however, our intention for doing these gifs wasn’t to just say “oh hey we’re cute let’s post it on tumblr and be like every tumblr couple & have everyone see that.” no. no. absolutely fucking not. no. our relationship may look like that, but on the real, we put so much fucking effort into our relationship. You don’t know how much we’ve been through to get to where we are, to get to how we are in those gifs. In fact, our intention was to show, “oh hey we’re cute, but I love this person soo much, I want the whole world to see how special they are to me. I want them to be jealous, to be love-deprived, and wish that they have a relationship like Ryan & I do because this is us on a daily basis. & we wanted to inspire people to go out and try to find what we have, & share& experience those feelings with your special someone. & If you want that type of relationship, go out and get it.
I know it’s easier said than done, but it’s better trying to go after what you want, than to sit on your ass and scroll on tumblr, seeing these cute couple pictures, videos and shit & wishing you had that.
stop wishing, just do it. “everyone wishes they had this.” yeah, everyone’s like “awww” but there’s a reason. and that reason is something that they don’t have which is why people like you are complaining about it. of course you’re not going to post up and show your relationship to tumblr and the world. fine, that’s your choice.
but that’s you. not me. not us, we did these gifs because each of these gifs have stories behind them. & if you would like to know those stories, PERSONALLY talk to me or Ryan & we will be more than glad to explain our relationship to you.
